Brazee welcomes artist and instructor Catharine Newell to teach this unique 4 hour workshop. Designed to inject new life and energy into your art making practice. Jump in and leave energized!
This four hour workshop focuses upon letting go of outcome, becoming comfortable with the unknown and, in doing so, finding everything.
Exercises designed to promote play, fresh perspective and risk taking will offer a break from stale thought patterns and provide opportunity to create work from boundless points of departure.
Very simple non-glass materials will be provided – among them: paper, scissors, glue, poster paint, crayons, charcoal and clay. Via these familiar childhood tools, you’ll very quickly find yourself responding wholeheartedly to your work, rather than (as adults often do) trying to prevent or alter it. We will move on from there…
This exploratory workshop has been carefully designed to remind you how to trust yourself to see clearly, work intuitively, risk everything and move confidently forward with ever evolving work.
Students will not be working with glass in this workshop.
Cancellation Policy: Please be sure you can attend class at time of registration. 24 hour notice required to keep payment as CREDIT to be used towards another class. All sales final, no refunds.
