Brazee is thrilled to welcome back Visiting Instructor Kim Fields to teach this one-day sculptural flameworking workshop. Kim Fields is an absolute master of sculptural flameworking. Don't miss your chance to learn from the best.
Learn to make beautiful butterfly beads using a variety of sculptural techniques. Demonstrations will include a simple butterfly and expanding to include realistic, more elaborate details. Students will use a variety of reference materials for form and color accuracy. Techniques will include assembling canes, color mixing and overlays, temperature control, and controlled application and manipulation of stringers and dots. Students will also use a variety of reference materials for form and color accuracy.
This workshop is intermediate level.
Students will be using Effetre COE 104 glass.
Kim Fields has over 18 years of flameworking experience, and has taught at many of the most prestigious glass studios throughout the U.S. as well as in Europe and Japan. Students must wear closed-toed shoes in the studio.
