Class Dates:

3 day workshop:
Thursday, 9/24 - 4pm - 8pm
Saturday, 9/26 - 1pm - 4pm
Tuesday, 9/29 - Coldworking by appointment to ensure social distancing

We're thrilled about this winning duo which combines two of our most popular classes. In this 3-day workshop, students will transcend the boundaries of a single process and mash-up Pattern Bar and On-Edge to create incredible 10" showpiece worthy platters.

Students will begin by designing, cutting, and assembling colorful sheet glass in a dam in the kiln. After firing, students will coldwork using a tile saw exposing the intricate patterns as the foundation for the plates. On-edge work will frame the patterns and students will once again dam their pieces to fuse into their stunning plates. Students will learn polishing coldworking techniques to beautifully finish off their creation once fired. Already taken a pattern bar class? Expand on your skills in this mash-up of pattern bar techniques!

Students will be coldworking on a wet tile saw. Wear closed toed shoes. Wear shoes and clothes you don't mind if they get wet on day 2 and 3. Aprons available.

No experience necessary. Glass cutting experience helpful.

Instructor: Angie Unger
