ANCIENT BEAD CONFERENCE WORKSHOP (ABC)

Brazee is thrilled to welcome back the "Queen of Dots"- Kristina Logan! Kristina returns as a featured Visiting Artist for Brazee's first ever Ancient Bead Conference. Don't miss your chance to study this ancient design element and improve your focus and precision on the torch with Kristina Logan!

In this special one-day intensive class, Kristina will help students perfect their flameworked dots. Kristina says, "A simple dot can become a beautiful design if placed carefully and thoughtfully." Kristina will explain and demonstrated how to make consistent, predictable dots. She will help students gain better hand-eye control and confidence over small details. Dot patterns will also be demonstrated. Students will come away from this class with a better understanding of heat and dotty detail control.

Students will be working with Bullseye Glass.

*Students must have previous beadmaking experience and be comfortable working independently at the torch.

Students must wear closed-toed shoes in the studio.

Cancellation Policy: Please be sure you can attend class at time of registration. 24 hour notice required to keep payment as CREDIT to be used towards another class. All sales final, no refunds.

Kristina's work has been collected by The Smithsonian Museum of American Art: Renwick Gallery, Washington DC, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston MA, The Corning Museum of Glass, Corning NY, and the Musée du Verre de Sars-Poteries, Sars-Poteries, France.

The museum has also used her iconic Cactus Bead to represent modern beadmaking on their timeline of glass beadmaking through the ages.

CMOG writes-- “...the work of Kristina Logan stands out for its originality, sophistication, and innovation. Logan is an especially talented artist who works with flameworked glass. She makes unique and complex beads in intricate patterns whose sometimes knobby forms recall the remarkable eye beads made in ancient China. Yet Logan’s style is purely contemporary.”
