Whenever possible, I spend time out of doors—often going to places that are less traveled and that take some effort to get to. I seek out unusual perspectives, abrupt changes in weather or landscape, objects that no longer appear relevant, or the unobvious in our midst.
A friend once referred to my paintings as ‘postcards of where I’ve been.’
After a career in business, I began painting because I wanted to learn to see differently. I have studied with Chuck Marshall, Ron Johnson, Joe Lombardo and Bill Fletcher.
